Our Story

Middleton Village Community Hall remains at the heart of North Middleton, Midlothian, a welcoming, vibrant space created by the community, for the community.

Managed by the Middleton Village Hall Association, a dedicated team of local volunteers, the hall provides a safe, inclusive and affordable environment where people of all ages can gather, learn, celebrate and connect. It continues to be a place where friendships are formed, ideas are shared and community life thrives.

Our original hall, built in 1985–86, was made possible through a loan from the former Regional Council, a grant from the Education Department, and the extraordinary fundraising efforts of village residents and committee members, supported by generous donations. It was a true testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared vision.

Four decades on from those early beginnings, that same spirit of collaboration and commitment continues to shape our future. Our modern, energy-efficient hall is designed to meet the evolving needs of our growing community, offering flexible, accessible facilities while preserving the strong sense of belonging that has always defined Middleton.

Conveniently located just off the A7, Middleton Village Community Hall remains a thriving hub for social, educational and recreational activities throughout the year, and we look forward to welcoming the next generation through our doors.
